New Visa Offerings Since April 2025
Namibia Introduces eVisa for 33 Countries
Starting April 1st, travelers from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and EU member states must apply for a Namibia eVisa online. No more last-minute airport stress—just a quick digital application before you go.
How long does processing take?
Typically 3-5 business days, but apply at least two weeks early to avoid delays.
Global Changes to Electronic Entry Documents
Thailand’s Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) Goes Mandatory
Beginning May 1st, all travelers must complete Thailand’s Digital Arrival Card before boarding. No exceptions.
Nigeria’s New eVisa Portal & Travel Declaration
Nigeria is rolling out two new systems on May 1st:
✔ A fully functional eVisa portal
✔ A travel declaration to speed up entry
Cuba Swaps Paper Tourist Cards for eVisas
Starting July 1st, Cuba is ditching paper Tourist Cards for mandatory eVisas. The only exception? Travelers flying with Canadian airlines—they just need to complete the ‘D’Viajeros’ form online within 7 days of arrival.
Antigua & Barbuda’s Travel Declaration
A new optional (but recommended) travel declaration is now live to help speed up entry.
Philippines Expands eVisa Access
Visa-required residents of India, Kenya, Nigeria, and the UAE can now apply online—no embassy visits needed.
Japan’s ETA System ("JESTA") Delayed
Originally set for 2030, Japan’s new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system is now targeting an April 2028 launch.
Other Key Visa Policy Changes
UAE Extends Stay for Chinese Nationals
Chinese travelers can now stay for 90 days (up from 30) with a visa on arrival.
Saudi Arabia’s Umrah Restrictions
From April 13th to June 9th, entry for Umrah pilgrims is temporarily suspended. Normal visa rules resume June 10th.
China & Malaysia Keep Visa-Free Travel
The mutual visa exemption between these two countries remains in place—great news for business and leisure travelers.
Albania’s 90-Day Visa Waiver
Until December 31st, nationals of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Indonesia can visit Albania visa-free for up to 90 days.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Summer Visa Waiver
From June 1st to September 30th, travelers from Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain can enter without a visa.
